Colorbound has launched on PC and consoles, bringing Panpipe Studio’s color-driven puzzle platforming to a broad set of systems. Steam lists the Windows edition as released on October 12, 2026, while publisher Whitethorn Games lists Steam, Epic Games Store, Humble Store, Nintendo Switch and Switch 2, Xbox consoles, and PlayStation consoles among the game’s platforms.
The premise follows Anku, a young Aymara boy whose late grandfather was a musician. The band that once played with him has scattered, so Anku sets out to find its members and bring them together for a final tribute. The journey gives each new area a clear purpose beyond reaching the next exit.
Color changes how the environment behaves
Anku collects colors, then applies them to objects in the environment to alter their properties and clear a path. The official description lays out a mix of light platforming, logic puzzles, hidden routes, and environments ranging from deserts to ruined cities and forests.
Each color comes with rules that affect the objects Anku paints. Players have to read the space, test those properties, and decide which change will turn an obstacle into a route forward. A solution may require moving an object, changing how it responds to the environment, or revealing a path that was already present. The puzzles feed back into Anku’s larger task: reach the missing musicians and restore the band.
A Chilean studio draws on Aymara culture
Panpipe Studio is based in Chile, and Whitethorn’s official fact sheet says the project draws on the team’s heritage through its art and traditional music. It also identifies Colorbound as the winner of the Latin American Game Showcase Game Jam 2025.
On PC, the Steam page identifies Panpipe Studio as the developer and Whitethorn Games as the publisher. It also lists single-player play, full controller support, Steam achievements, cloud saves, and several accessibility features. Availability and pricing can vary by storefront and region, so players should check the listing for their platform before purchasing.
