War Thunder Lightfooted Screenshot Contest: Rules and Deadline

War Thunder gameplay with military vehicles in battle

War Thunder’s 245th Steam Screenshot Competition is open through October 16, 2026. Called Lightfooted, this round asks players to photograph small, agile vehicles in action. Six winners will each receive 300 Golden Eagles, the game’s premium currency.

Which vehicles qualify

Gaijin Entertainment limits entries to three groups: aircraft or helicopters with one engine, light tanks or wheeled ground vehicles, and coastal fleet vessels. The scene can show a light vehicle scouting a battlefield or an aircraft fighting in the air, but the vehicle must fit one of those groups.

The picture must come from War Thunder itself. Players may use the game’s replay tools, built-in filters and graphics settings. External editing software and visual enhancements such as Nvidia Ansel filters are not allowed. The entrant must have made the screenshot, and the image must be new rather than reused from an earlier post or competition.

How to submit an entry

Upload the screenshot to the War Thunder Steam Community Hub and use #WTscreen245 as its title. The official rules say the title cannot contain any other text. Entries must also comply with War Thunder’s general rules.

The deadline is October 16. Gaijin will award three prizes to the most popular submissions and choose three more through its judges. Each winner receives 300 Golden Eagles, with delivery to the author’s account within 14 working days. An artist may win through the popular vote only once in any four consecutive screenshot competitions. The announcement also names the six winners from the previous round.

What to check before uploading

Confirm that the vehicle belongs to an eligible class and that the file is an untouched in-game capture. Keep the Steam title to the required hashtag, avoid reusing an older image, and submit before the deadline. Those checks cover the conditions most likely to make an otherwise valid picture ineligible.
