Used Cars Simulator is now available on Xbox Series X|S. The car-trading sandbox from developer Dreamway Games and publisher PlayWay S.A. arrived on Microsoft’s consoles through the ID@Xbox program on September 25, 2026, asking players to grow a used-car business from a single shed and a small amount of starting cash.

The core loop is simple. Before any car changes hands, players inspect its condition, look for damage and missing parts, and negotiate a price. A low asking price is not automatically a bargain, since a cheaper vehicle can end up costing more once repairs begin, so money saved before the car reaches the shed gives more room for profit later. After the deal closes, the work starts: fix dents, replace missing parts, and get the vehicle into good shape before washing, repainting, and customization. Only then does the car go back up for sale.

Dreamway Games recommends keeping money moving rather than getting attached to a finished project. The studio suggests finding a deal, buying the car, repairing it, selling it, and reinvesting the profit, because selling successful projects is what funds the search for better vehicles and lets the business grow.

The business side is only part of the game. Players can leave the shed to drive around an abandoned city, meet characters, complete quests, and search a desert with a metal detector. It is also a physics-driven sandbox where cars can drift around corners, hit jumps, and chase scores on leaderboards, though the studio advises keeping business inventory separate from ramp experiments so a repaired car ready for sale does not end up wrecked.

Illegal shortcuts are part of the package. Cars can be acquired in ways that are not exactly legitimate, and police chases follow, so a quick shortcut to a new vehicle can turn into an attempt to escape the cops. Players decide how much chaos their business can handle.

The launch was announced in a September 25, 2026 feature on Xbox Wire by Joanna Berezowska, Head of Marketing at Dreamway Games, which walks through five tips for running a more profitable used-car business.
