Rainbow Six Siege Brings Back Doktor’s Curse With a Free Event Pack

Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six Siege has brought back Doktor’s Curse, its Halloween limited-time event, running from October 14 through November 2, 2026. Ubisoft announced the return on the game’s Steam Community news hub. The event swaps standard play for Hide & Seek inside Doktor’s Lab, a heavily reworked version of the Clubhouse map with hidden routes and new hiding spots, and a trailer shows the 2026 version of the mode.

Each match divides players into Hunters and Monsters. Hunters search for the opposing team while Monsters evade capture until time runs out, and both roles use abilities designed only for the event instead of a standard operator kit.

What is free

Entering the mode once is enough to earn a free Event Pack and an event-exclusive cosmetic. Completing in-game challenges unlocks additional rewards through the event window. Ubisoft has also turned on Twitch Drops: players who link their Ubisoft and Twitch accounts can collect more items by watching participating Rainbow Six Siege streams.

What costs money

The 2026 collection holds 33 event-exclusive items, with new Operator bundles for Hibana, Mute, and Grim alongside cosmetics themed around monsters, hunters, and Doktor’s Lab. The marquee item is the Selenic Trail M590A1 Memento, a weapon skin inspired by a legendary werewolf hunter, sold directly and bundled with five Event Packs.

Getting started

Load into the event once to secure the free Event Pack and cosmetic, then open the in-game challenges tab to see which challenges are active. If Twitch Drops matter to you, link your Ubisoft and Twitch accounts before watching a participating stream. Anyone planning to buy should note that only the Selenic Trail bundle has a published price; the other Operator bundles have not had their pricing stated.

What the announcement leaves out

Ubisoft has not published the exact Hunter and Monster ability changes for 2026, the contents or schedule of the Twitch Drops, or pricing for the Operator bundles beyond the Selenic Trail bundle. Players who want those specifics will need to check the in-game store and challenge list once the event is live.
