Final Fantasy XIV‘s annual Halloween event, All Saints’ Wake, returns on October 15, 2026 under the subtitle “A Grisly Affair of Mortals and Bears.” Square Enix runs the event from 1:00 a.m. PDT on October 15 until 6:59 a.m. PST on November 2, and its official event page notes that dates and times are subject to change.
The seasonal quest is called We Scare Bears. Square Enix’s event page frames it through a pumpkin-headed apparition who is keen to introduce players to her otherworldly acquaintances. To begin, a character must be level 15 or higher and speak to that apparition in Old Gridania at X:10.2 Y:9.4.
All Saints’ Wake is one of Final Fantasy XIV’s recurring seasonal events, returning around Halloween each year with a fresh quest and reward set. This year’s edition carries a bear theme, reflected in the subtitle A Grisly Affair of Mortals and Bears.
What the event adds
The event rewards are split between armor and furnishings. The armor group carries the event’s bear theme, matching the bears named in the event’s subtitle, while the furnishings add new housing items. The bespectacled peddler also returns during the window, offering items from earlier All Saints’ Wake events that players may have missed.
How to start
Reach level 15, travel to Old Gridania, and find the pumpkin-headed apparition at X:10.2 Y:9.4 to accept We Scare Bears. Completing the questline before the event ends is the only way to earn this year’s rewards, because seasonal quests cannot be finished after the event concludes.
Finish before the deadline
The event closes at 6:59 a.m. PST on November 2, which is November 3 in some time zones. Players who can only log in briefly should start and finish We Scare Bears early rather than leaving it for the final day, and check the peddler before the window shuts.
