Warhammer 40,000: Boltgun 2 launched on October 14, 2026 for PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S at a standard price of $24.99, according to developer Auroch Digital and the US Steam store. The sequel to the 2023 retro first-person shooter continues directly from the ending of the first Boltgun and drops players into a branching, single-player campaign set across new locations.

The campaign gives players a choice of two characters. Ultramarine Malum Caedo is voiced by Rahul Kohli, while Nyra Veyrath, a Celestian Sister of Battle, is voiced by Alanah Pearce. The game is planned as a single-player experience with no multiplayer, and Auroch Digital frames the sequel as a larger version of the original, with more enemies, more weapons and new ways to purge.

Mick Gordon scores the final boss

Composer Mick Gordon contributed an original musical track for the game’s final boss fight against Vashtorr. Auroch Digital’s FAQ describes the piece as a suite of cues built around the character’s dread, leading into the climactic showdown at the end of the campaign.

Platforms and what is still pending

The game is available now on PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. A Nintendo Switch 2 version is confirmed but has no release date yet; Auroch Digital says only that it will launch shortly after the other platforms. The Steam listing shows the full $24.99 price with no active discount.

PC requirements

On PC, the minimum specification lists a GeForce GTX 980 or Radeon R9 Fury with 8 GB of RAM and 13 GB of storage, while the recommended specification moves to a GeForce GTX 1650 or Radeon RX 570 on the same 8 GB of memory.

Digital-only at launch

Auroch Digital’s FAQ states that Boltgun 2 is a digital-only release and that no physical version is planned at the moment.
