Hunt: Showdown 1896 Restores Inferno and Sets All Hallows’ Cleave for October 13

A hunter moves through a dark outdoor compound in Hunt: Showdown 1896

Crytek has returned the Inferno time of day to Hunt: Showdown 1896 as part of Blood Testament Chapter 2. The studio’s October 6 patch notes also detail All Hallows’ Cleave, a five-stage community event due to begin October 13.

Inferno can appear across every map during Chapters 2 and 3. Its wildfires occupy fixed locations, so familiar routes may be blocked rather than randomly altered from one visit to the next. Smoke and fire reduce visibility, while AI enemies generally avoid burning areas but can follow hunters through them when needed.

Inferno adds a dedicated supply point

The returning condition introduces Firefighter Supply locations that appear only during Inferno. Crytek says each one guarantees a Flame Rifle, a scarce weapon that projects a steady stream of fire. These supply points can also contain a Scouting Map or Tarot Cards.

The fixed fire zones make route choice the practical change to watch. A path that works under another time of day may be closed by flames during Inferno, and the smoke can shorten sightlines before a fight starts. The notes do not list damage figures for crossing fire or using the Flame Rifle.

All Hallows’ Cleave unlocks rewards in five stages

All Hallows’ Cleave advances through Community Event Points earned from match objectives. Stage one unlocks The Atlas, a Tarot Card that reveals hidden locations on the map. Stage three adds The Temperance, which restores the last trait lost by a hunter during that mission, including a trait removed by Siphon.

The fifth stage adds the Long Derringer. Crytek describes it as a compact, single-shot Long Ammo pistol with high damage, lower velocity and a short drop range. The notes position it as a short- to medium-range tool but do not publish exact damage, velocity or drop values.

Bloodweavers arrive with the event

Bileweavers will return in 20 additional compounds, with five affected compounds selected for each match. Their new Bloodweaver relatives inflict bleeding through jump attacks and egg hatching. Players can distinguish them by their red bodies and spiked red eggs, and they appear only during the Blood Moon time of day.

Crytek schedules the Bileweavers, Bloodweavers and newly infested compounds for October 13 alongside All Hallows’ Cleave. Inferno is already in the active rotation and is planned to remain there through the next two Blood Testament chapters.
