Ghost of Yōtei has returned one year after its original launch with a Complete Edition on PS5, folding the base campaign together with the Legends co-op mode and two new additions. Sony and Sucker Punch timed the release to the game’s first anniversary, pairing the new bundle with a free update for existing owners and framing it as a thank-you to the community.

What the Complete Edition includes

The edition sells for $69.99 and bundles the award-winning campaign with Legends, the online co-op mode for up to four players, alongside the new content. It also carries over the in-game content from the Digital Deluxe Edition and the Charm of Hokkyokusei, plus new photo mode stamps, New Game Plus cosmetics, and Trophies for the two additions. Owners of the original game can instead buy the upgrade for $14.99. Sony says buyers can start the main game and Legends immediately, while Most Wanted and Echoes of Sekigahara arrive through the version 2.0 patch.

Most Wanted turns combat into a roguelike

Most Wanted is a single-player combat survival mode in which players accept bounties to begin runs, earn perks by defeating enemies, and unlock additional playable characters. The announcement shows Atsu wielding the dual katana, Oyuki with the kusarigama, and Nagato with a yari. Jin, the protagonist of Ghost of Tsushima, returns in the mode with new voice lines, presented by the studio as a non-canonical, more mystical take on the world.

Echoes of Sekigahara expands Atsu’s story

Echoes of Sekigahara splits its story between the present day and flashbacks to Atsu’s time on the mainland, including her part in the Battle of Sekigahara. It introduces Nagato, a figure from her past, and sends players through a previously unseen valley once controlled by The Snake and the Vipers. The expansion adds new enemies, heavy weapons, armor sets, and dyes.

A free patch for every owner

Version 2.0 also adds free features for all owners, including a screensaver-style Beauty of Yōtei mode, new tracks for Watanabe Mode, and quality-of-life options such as keeping an armor set’s appearance while another set’s stats are active. The update launched October 1 globally and October 2 in some territories, including Asia, Australia, and New Zealand.
