Echo Weaver has launched on Xbox and PC, and Microsoft lists the game as available through Xbox Game Pass. Developer Moonlight Kids and publisher Akupara Games released the single-player action-adventure game on October 8, 2026.
Progress comes from information
Moonlight Kids describes Echo Weaver as a knowledge-based Metroidvania. Its central rule removes the usual sequence of ability unlocks. The character begins with every power needed to finish the game, while the player has to discover how those powers work and where they open a route.
The structure turns each reset into a planning problem. Official materials say the time loop is also a consumable resource. Pickups extend the loop, but time can then be spent to heal, trade or open new paths. That gives routing decisions a cost: extra time can keep a run alive, yet the same resource may be needed to reach another part of the map.
The glaive changes how routes are read
The last Weaver carries an alien glaive with powers that alter reality. Moonlight Kids says players can use discoveries from earlier loops to bypass obstacles and find shortcuts. Memorizing hazards and arranging a clean route matter more than collecting permanent upgrades.
The setting is the ruined colony of Provenance. Survivors remain trapped in the loop after the Collapse, including refugees, a guide and a cleric tied to the colony’s conflict. The official description frames their stories as part of the route out, so learning about the people in the loop sits alongside movement and combat.
Xbox and PC versions are available now
Microsoft’s store page lists Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, PC, cloud gaming and supported handhelds. It also lists Xbox Play Anywhere, Smart Delivery, achievements and cloud saves. The same page includes a Game Pass trailer and identifies Game Pass as a subscription route to the game.
On Steam, the PC release supports Windows and macOS. The store lists full controller support, Steam achievements, cloud saves and family sharing. Moonlight Kids also links to the Xbox, Steam, Nintendo Switch 2 and PlayStation storefronts from its official game page, though availability and pricing vary by platform and region.
