Marvel Rivals Version 20261001 went live on October 1 at 09:00 UTC without scheduled server downtime. The update is a compact release built around two store cosmetics, an esports prediction event and three fixes rather than a balance pass or new map.
NetEase’s official notes list Lunar Luna for Luna Snow and Cosmic Spark for Phoenix. Both costumes are scheduled to enter the store on October 2 at 02:00 UTC and leave on October 30 at 02:00 UTC. Luna Snow also receives a Pink Planets/Dark Nebula chroma and a separate Ultimate Ability visual effect.
Store and event dates do not match
The same two costumes appear in Pop & Win, where players can try for a discounted purchase. That event began on September 17 and ends October 16 at 02:00 UTC, two weeks before the regular store window closes. Players comparing the options should therefore treat October 16 as the deadline for Pop & Win, not as the removal date for the costumes themselves.
The patch notes do not describe gameplay bonuses for either skin or the chroma. They are cosmetic additions, and the official announcement does not list a price.
Ignite Series predictions open October 5
Predictions for the Marvel Rivals Ignite Series Stage 2 Playoffs open October 5. Deadlines vary by region: October 8 at 05:50 UTC for Pacific, October 15 at 19:50 UTC for Americas, October 15 at 10:50 UTC for EMEA and October 16 at 06:50 UTC for China.
Submitting predictions and watching matches through the in-game broadcast can advance event quests. NetEase says the available rewards include Nameplates, Titles and Units, but the patch notes do not promise a specific reward for every prediction.
Three targeted fixes
The release corrects text for Rogue’s stolen Adam Warlock ability, removes a matchmaking problem in Jeff’s Superstar Search and clears a stuck chroma description in the Customize menu. The Jeff fix means its GO button should no longer force a lobby into Quick Match; players can use it while keeping their selected mode.
No hero balance changes are listed. Anyone looking for combat adjustments should distinguish this release from the September 24 update, which introduced the God Quarry map.
