Kinetic Games is bringing back Ghost Hunts for Hearts, the Phasmophobia charity drive run in collaboration with American Heart Association Liive. In an official Steam announcement, the studio confirmed the event returns October 26 through November 2 and invited the entire Phasmophobia community to take part. Last year’s campaign raised more than $100,000 for the American Heart Association, and the studio says it wants this year’s edition to be bigger and better.

For the first time, the event carries a Twitch Drop. During the week, any participating fundraising streamer can hand out the event-exclusive Advocate ID Card and Badge through a Phasmophobia stream. The base version of the set arrives through that Drop, while a separate Animated version of the Advocate set is tied to a community fundraising goal rather than to individual watch time. The setup turns ordinary Phasmophobia broadcasts into the campaign’s distribution channel, with no other unlock requirement described for the base reward.

That goal is a secret for now. Kinetic Games will reveal the fundraising target on October 26, the day the event begins. If the community reaches it, the Animated Advocate set unlocks for every player. The studio said more details on the Drop will come closer to event week.

Streamers who want to raise money for the campaign register through a Microsoft Forms sign-up link that is already open. After registering, the Heart Liive team contacts them to make sure they have what they need to host streams during the week. Viewers claim the Advocate ID Card and Badge by watching any Phasmophobia stream from a participating fundraising streamer, though the announcement does not spell out the exact claim steps.

The return keeps the game’s charity tradition going, arriving near the end of Phasmophobia’s Crimson Eye seasonal event that opened earlier in October. The structure separates the drop reward from the community fundraising stretch, so both viewers and streamers have a reason to show up during the event week.
