Phasmophobia v0.19.1.0 Prepares Crimson Eye and Adds an Event Toggle

Kinetic Games has released Phasmophobia update 0.19.1.0 ahead of the Crimson Eye event, which starts October 8. The small patch activates the event framework, gives hosts control over seasonal maps and fixes two specific bugs.

The studio also says its next major update will move Phasmophobia to Unity 6 in November. Kinetic has not published the full change list yet; those fixes and improvements are due in a separate development preview.

Hosts can switch seasonal maps on or off

Crimson Eye covers selected locations in the red light of the Blood Moon. Investigations and optional objectives on those maps contribute to the event rewards described by Kinetic Games.

Version 0.19.1.0 adds a Seasonal Event toggle for Crimson Eye and future events. A host can use it to include or exclude event maps from a session. That is the patch’s main player-facing control change, and it should help groups choose between the seasonal variant and the regular map pool.

Two fixes arrive before the event

The patch corrects the white light shown after a player is revived. It had been flashing instead of fading in and out. Kinetic Games also fixed a case in which an Easter Egg reward could fail to unlock even though the reward pop-up appeared while a 0x multiplier was active.

Two known issues remain. On Xbox and Steam, the lampposts outside 6 Tanglewood Drive can appear to glow when the player looks at them. In custom difficulty sessions, the fuse box location may still appear on the truck map when it should be hidden.

What comes next

Crimson Eye opens October 8, one day after this patch reached players. The official notes do not give an end date or a complete reward list, so players looking for those details should use Kinetic Games’ separate event announcement. The next dated milestone in these notes is the Unity 6 update planned for November.
