ONE PIECE: Grand Gourmet, a restaurant management simulation from developer Kairosoft and publisher Bandai Namco, is now available on Nintendo Switch, Nintendo Switch 2, PC via Steam, iOS, and Android. The game puts players in charge of the Baratie Number 2, the second floating restaurant from Eiichiro Oda’s long-running series, and tasks them with growing a modest ship into a destination diner.
The core loop will feel familiar to anyone who has played a Kairosoft sim. Characters pitch ideas, players choose ingredients and cook alongside Sanji, and finished plates are arranged into set menus. Sailing out to sea unlocks new recipes, and the menu draws directly from the source material, from Water-Water Meat BBQ to special creations built on Devil Fruit powers. A customer who likes your layout can become a regular, feeding a cycle where the menu and the room are tuned to specific tastes.
The scale is where the license shows. More than 400 ONE PIECE characters appear as staff and customers, rendered in what Bandai Namco calls a lively pixel art style, each with its own events and interactions. Customization spans more than 200 furniture, building, and decorative items, with themes pulled from locations such as Whole Cake Island and Egghead. Instead of an anonymous queue of diners, every face is a named member of the cast.
The pairing hands Kairosoft’s proven systems a licensed cast of hundreds. Kairosoft is the Japanese studio behind Game Dev Story and normally develops and self-publishes its own original titles; here Bandai Namco supplies the ONE PIECE license and publishes the game. The result is a familiar management loop wrapped around a landmark from a long-running series, which gives completionists a reason to keep playing long after the systems alone would run dry.
The PC edition is $19.99 on Steam, which lists an October 22 release date while Bandai Namco’s launch messaging points to October 23. It is single-player with Steam Achievements, Steam Cloud, Family Sharing, and full controller support including DualShock and DualSense. Minimum requirements are modest: a Windows 11 PC with an Intel Core i3-8100 or AMD Ryzen 3 3100, 8 GB of RAM, and a GeForce GTX 750 Ti-class card, for an estimated 1080p at 30 fps. PlayStation and Xbox are not among the launch platforms.
