Helldivers 2 Patch 7.1.0 Turns Evacuation Into a Faster Fight

Helldivers 2 update 7.1.0, Devoid of Liberty, changes how the game distributes pressure when a squad splits up. The spawn system now weighs both enemy count and distance. When one Helldiver faces little pressure and the global enemy count has reached its performance limit, new enemies should appear closer to that player. Distant enemies can despawn when the count exceeds budget.

The intended result is fewer empty outposts for roaming players and more consistent contact across separated groups. Squads may notice the difference most when one player peels away for samples or optional objectives while the rest handle the main route.

Evacuation leaves less breathing room

Evacuate High-Value Assets receives a sharper escalation curve. The starting delay between waves falls from 60 seconds to 42, the ending delay drops from 40 seconds to 28, and the maximum gap can reach two seconds instead of ten. The mission can field more waves and more enemies per wave, with encounter points scaling more steeply by mission step and player count.

Shriekers can now join the assault, while SEAF troops can appear when the mission setup includes them. Arrowhead also randomized loot and weapon positions, placed ten common samples across the area, and added three supply groups containing ammunition, health kits, grenades and weapons. Generator health percentages now appear in the interface.

Loadout changes worth checking

The AR/GL-21 One-Two starts with three grenade-launcher rounds instead of two, carries five spares instead of three, and refills five. The LAS-13 Trident’s vertical climb recoil drops from 12 to 2. Orbital Precision Strike now has an 80-second cooldown, down from 90 seconds. The G/40 Melta Mine no longer sticks to characters or vehicles, though it can rest on a level surface and arm unless it attaches to terrain.

Several fixes address reinforcement lockups, crash cases and incorrect career-stat tracking. Unoccupied vehicles should no longer draw enemy targeting. Before launching an evacuation, squads should expect a shorter setup window, check the newly scattered supplies, and plan for airborne pressure rather than relying on the old pacing.
