Forza Horizon 5 Adds the 1997 Toyota Soarer as a Playlist Reward

Forza Horizon 5 has made the 1997 Toyota Soarer 2.5 GT-T this week’s 20-point Spring reward. Playground Games says the car is available through the Festival Playlist from October 8 to October 15.

The deadline is the important part for collectors. The Soarer sits in the seasonal reward track rather than the longer Series track, so players have one week to earn it. Reaching 40 seasonal points also awards a Backstage Pass.

Two reward tracks run at the same time

The official schedule separates Spring rewards from Series rewards. The Soarer unlocks at 20 points during Spring, while the full Series offers the 1992 Mercedes-Benz 500E at 80 points and the 1992 GMC Typhoon at 160 points. Progress toward the weekly car therefore also contributes to the broader Series total.

Playground Games describes the Soarer as a sports-luxury coupe shaped by 1990s technology. The in-game customization list includes Origin Lab front and rear bumpers and side skirts, plus Forza front-bumper and rear-wing options.

Weekly events provide several routes to points

The playlist is not tied to a single activity. Its event list includes three EventLab challenges, The Trial, three standard Seasonal Championships, PR Stunts, expansion-specific events, a Photo Challenge, a Treasure Hunt, Horizon Arcade, The Eliminator, Hide & Seek and Horizon Super7.

Several entries carry their own rewards. The Face Off Trial uses 1990s Toyota Supra and Nissan Skyline cars in B 700 class and awards a 1995 Ferrari F50. The 90s Icons championship is restricted to Subaru cars in B 700 class and awards the 1998 Subaru Impreza 22B-STi Version. Completing the #DressedToImprezza Photo Challenge awards a 90s Outfit.

Plan around the October 15 cutoff

Players interested primarily in the Soarer do not need to clear the entire list. They need enough qualifying activities to reach 20 Spring points before the weekly reset. Those also pursuing the Series cars can continue beyond that threshold, while the 40-point seasonal mark adds the Backstage Pass.

The official announcement lists every event, vehicle restriction, reward and point value. Checking that table before choosing activities can prevent time spent on an event that requires an expansion or a specific vehicle class.
