SCS Software has previewed three cosmetic editions of the DAF XG+ cab that will arrive in Euro Truck Simulator 2 with the 1.62 update. The Emerald, Sapphire, and 30 Years in Czechia editions each pair a distinct paint finish with exclusive exterior accessories and a specially designed interior, and they restyle the truck that is already in the game rather than introducing a new chassis.
30 Years in Czechia edition
The 30 Years in Czechia edition marks three decades of DAF’s presence in the Czech Republic. It wears a traditional royal orange paint job with unique anniversary logos, a black air-intake grille with painted trim, a matching black sunshield, and a black DAF badge linked to the engine configuration that drivers can switch back to silver. A black anniversary badge sits beneath the side XG+ badge, joined by exclusive rear wheel covers and black wheel nuts with matching caps, plus an illuminated DAF logo.
Inside, the Czech 30th Anniversary interior adds seats embroidered with DAF 30 logos and premium upholstery in black leather or Alcantara with orange diamond-pattern stitching. The upper bunk gets Alcantara upholstery with a subtle grey pattern inspired by the Czech flag.
Emerald and Sapphire editions
The Emerald edition uses a Forest Dawn green paint job, a grille with painted trim, a coloured sunshield, a white DAF logo, and an exclusive Emerald side badge. Black door handles with painted accents, black side window trim, and a painted chassis side skirt for the 4×2 configuration complete the exterior. The cabin gains floor mats, a diamond-pattern emerald design on the mattress and upper bunk, and specially designed curtains.
The Sapphire edition keeps the package leaner: Sapphire Blue paint, a black DAF logo, side window trim, and a painted chassis side skirt on the 4×2 chassis. SCS does not itemize a separate Sapphire interior in the announcement.
What’s still open
SCS has not announced a release date for the 1.62 update, whether the editions are free or paid, or whether any version will come to American Truck Simulator. The announcement also stops short of saying the editions are already available in-game. For drivers, the practical effect is cosmetic: the DAF XG+ keeps its underlying behaviour and gains new paint, badge, trim, and interior options.
