ESO Season Two Tamriel Tome: Free and Premium Rewards Explained

The Elder Scrolls Online Season Two Tamriel Tome rewards preview

ZeniMax Online Studios has laid out the reward track for The Elder Scrolls Online’s second season, and the structure is easier to follow than the name suggests. Season Two, titled Echoes of Skyrim, starts Wednesday, October 21 at 1PM ET and runs through January 27, 2027. The Tamriel Tome is the season’s reward track, and its free version is open to every player without a purchase.

What the free track unlocks

Playing through the season unlocks the free track, which mixes in-game currency with cosmetics and collectibles: 8,000 Seals, 9,000 Trade Bars, several Crown Crates, the Maarselok Slayer weapon style set, and the Shagrath’s Web skin. The free rewards stay available for the full season window, but access to them ends when the season does.

What the paid tiers add

The Premium Tome includes everything from the free track plus 1,500 additional Trade Bars, the Azureblight Recall customized action, the Maarselok Slayer Mammoth mount, and upgraded versions of the Maarselok Slayer weapon styles. The Premium + Bonuses Tome adds two Caches of Tome Points worth 2,000 points each and the Patched Tabby Cat pet. Buying either paid tier also keeps your access to the Tome after the season ends, so you can finish the track at your own pace.

Which tier makes sense

Stay on the free track if you play casually and mainly want the base Maarselok Slayer weapon style or the Shagrath’s Web skin. Pay for the Premium Tome if you want the Mammoth mount, the Azureblight Recall action, or the upgraded weapon styles, or if you know you will not finish before January 27. The Premium + Bonuses tier is for collectors and players who want to complete the track faster, since its two caches add 4,000 Tome Points on top of everything else.

ZeniMax also notes the Tomes system recently received a quality-of-life update, which is worth keeping in mind if you last interacted with it several seasons ago.
