CD Projekt Red has confirmed that The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt – Remastered will launch on September 29, 2026, and will arrive as a free upgrade for existing owners rather than a separate full-price purchase. The studio announced the date on its official website and shared a global release-timing map through its official social channels so players can look up their exact local unlock time. The date had been referenced in earlier announcement material, but the new confirmation gives players a firm target to plan around.
The free upgrade applies to owners of the base game on GOG, Steam, the Epic Games Store, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S. Two additional storefronts are joining the lineup. The remaster is available for pre-purchase on Battle.net, marking the first time the game has been sold through Blizzard’s PC launcher, and it is also available for pre-purchase on Nintendo Switch 2. Players who own the game on the original Switch will be able to claim the remastered version on Switch 2 once it releases.
CD Projekt also confirmed that both of the game’s original expansions — Hearts of Stone and Blood and Wine — are included at no extra cost. Every current owner of the base game gains access to both expansions for free, and the two expansions are bundled into the remastered base game as well.
