Bandai Namco has released a new Tekken 8 trailer built around Roger Jr., while using its final moments to show Yujiro Hanma in the game for the first time. Roger Jr. receives the substantial reveal: the returning kangaroo and his joey appear across several fights, giving players a look at their movement, strikes and tag-like attack animations.
Roger Jr. takes the main slot
The footage presents Roger Jr. as the next announced fighter in the Season 3 lineup. Bandai Namco’s official game page places the character in an October-to-December 2026 release window. The page also says the Season 3 pass includes five days of early access for future downloadable characters, although it does not give an exact release day for Roger Jr.
The new video is more useful as a gameplay demonstration than as a date announcement. It shows how the character moves and attacks, but players should wait for a separate schedule from Bandai Namco before treating any specific November date as final.
Yujiro appears at the end
After the Roger Jr. sequence, the trailer shifts to Yujiro Hanma, the crossover fighter from Baki. The brief reveal establishes his in-game model and presence in the roster without functioning as a full gameplay breakdown. Bandai Namco’s current Season 3 listing assigns Yujiro a January-to-March 2027 window.
That distinction matters because the trailer gives the two characters different levels of detail. Roger Jr. is shown in an extended combat showcase. Yujiro’s segment is a first look, not enough information to judge a complete move set or final balance. No exact Yujiro release date appears on the official game page.
What the Season 3 pass includes
The official listing names four playable additions: Kunimitsu, Bob, Roger Jr. and Yujiro Hanma. It also lists the Subsea Lockdown battle stage and an Aurora Outfit Pack with 44 designs. Bandai Namco says all pass content is due to be available by March 31, 2027, while noting that individual downloadable items can also be sold separately.
For now, the confirmed takeaway is narrow: Roger Jr. has a gameplay-focused trailer, Yujiro has his first in-game footage, and both remain part of the published Season 3 roadmap. Exact launch dates should come from a later official update.
