Tekken 8 Player Completes Blindfolded Beginner-to-GoD Ranked Run

Tekken 8 player SuperBrine says he completed a ranked climb from Beginner to God of Destruction while wearing a sleep mask. He streamed the attempt in several parts and linked the preserved Twitch recordings after reaching the target rank on October 4.

The public record supports the central outline of the run. SuperBrine’s Twitch archive labels its opening installment as a blindfolded Beginner-to-GoD attempt with Alisa, while his completion post says the full sequence remains in his Twitch highlights. The recordings give viewers something more substantial to examine than a short result clip.

A challenge built around sound and experience

In IGN’s interview, SuperBrine described relying on Tekken’s audio cues, matchup knowledge and expectations about how players behave at different ranks. Sounds can indicate whether an attack hit, was blocked or caused a wall splat. Those clues do not replace the screen; they become useful because the player already understands Alisa’s moves and common ranked patterns.

He also said the run required frequent breaks because keeping his eyes closed beneath the mask became uncomfortable and the concentration was tiring. That context makes the attempt easier to understand without turning it into a claim that blindfolded play is practical for an ordinary competitor.

What the result does not prove

SuperBrine called himself the first person to make this complete blindfolded climb on a live stream. That historical claim comes from the player and cannot be established solely from his recordings. The documented result is narrower: he announced the completion, identified the rank and preserved the broadcasts he says cover the run.

The feat also does not demonstrate that Alisa can carry any player to a top rank without vision. SuperBrine attributed the result to extensive fighting-game experience, practiced sequences, opponent reads and close attention to sound. His chosen restriction removed visual information, but it did not remove the accumulated knowledge behind each decision.

For viewers, the archived broadcasts are the best way to assess the attempt. They show the progression over time and preserve the match context that an isolated screenshot or social post would omit.
