SCS Software has published a Gamescom 2026 aftermovie built around the truck-simulation projects it showed in Cologne. The video is a retrospective, not a release-date announcement: it records what visitors could try at the booth and names five expansions that remain upcoming.
The developer says its stand had six PC stations and two 4D motion simulators. Attendees were able to sample Coaches, Road Trip: Ford, Iceland, South Dakota and British Columbia. Those projects span Euro Truck Simulator 2 and American Truck Simulator, so the list should not be read as one combined expansion package.
Five previews, no launch schedule
The aftermovie confirms that playable preview builds existed for the show. It does not supply launch dates, prices or a final release order for the five add-ons. Hands-on availability at a trade show can indicate that work is advanced enough for a controlled demonstration, but it is not evidence that public builds are imminent.
SCS also brought a physical centerpiece to the booth. Volvo Trucks displayed the Volvo FH Series 6 100 Year Edition, giving the stand a real-world counterpart to the studio’s vehicle-focused games. The official recap describes it as the finishing touch rather than a newly announced playable truck.
What the video is useful for
For players following the studio’s roadmap, the episode provides a compact view of how several announced projects looked at the same event. It also shows the scale of the public setup: five days of visitors, multiple demo stations and the two motion rigs. That context is more concrete than trying to infer development order from the names alone.
The missing details are just as important. SCS does not commit to a date in the recap, and it does not say that every show build represented final content. Anyone deciding whether to wishlist an expansion should follow the individual project page for requirements and release information instead of treating the aftermovie as a launch notice.
