Eleventh Hour Games has closed out its pre-season “Hype Week” with the deepest look yet at Last Epoch’s fifth season, Rage of the Frostborn, which arrives on October 1, 2026. In the final deep dive, the studio revealed for the first time the complete lineup of new Unique items joining the action RPG, alongside a reworked endgame hub and a new activity interface.
New Unique items across three tiers
The reveal spans three tiers of gear. The bulk of the additions are standard Uniques that slot into existing builds: Heorot’s Repose, a sword that makes the Avalanche skill scale with added melee damage; Morditas’ Vengeance, a spear dropped by the new Pinnacle Morditas boss that keeps health leech running even at full health; and Unbroken Legion, a helmet teased earlier by game director Mike Weicker that doubles your maximum skeleton count. Other entries include Perilous Reflection, which turns Marrow Shards into a returning projectile; Fused Elements, which forces Gathering Storm to cycle between lightning, physical, and cold damage; and Vestige of Imprisonment, a chest piece that makes incoming hit damage bypass ward while granting ward generation from uncapped cold resistance.
A second tier, the “mega rare” Uniques, sits above even the Red Ring in scarcity. Gift of the Eidolon gloves grant Haste and Frenzy simultaneously, Eternal Font makes your character drink a potion every second regardless of supply, and Death Dance removes the evade cooldown entirely while casting your leftmost specialized ability on every dodge. The studio warns these three will be exceptionally hard to find.
The final tier introduces a new system rather than a single item. Unsated Rage, a ring that uses a variant affix pool, permanently grants one of 27 Rage buffs drawn from the Morditas encounter, from Explosive Rage’s area-of-effect boost to Icy Rage’s damage-over-time zone. A two-piece Primalist set, Caretaker’s Regrowth, rounds out the gear additions by automating Entangling Roots.
A reworked endgame hub
Outside of items, the update renames Echo of a World to Traveler’s Rest, a town-style waypoint at The End of Time that centralizes the stash, forge, merchant, and Monolith access. A new activity interface called the Nexus lets players pick timelines, endgame activities, and dungeons from one screen.
Full patch notes were slated to arrive the day after the final Hype Week post, ahead of the October 1 launch.
