Deadlock has added Deadman Danny to its playable roster. Valve describes the Fairfax Industries salesman as a flying rocket-launcher hero built around target marks and heat management. His launch expands the current test roster without changing Valve’s stated voting process.
Danny is available in the game now. His Chimera Mk1 flight system carries him above the streets, while Strix Salvo fires missiles that mark enemies for later attacks. Valve’s announcement does not publish damage, range or cooldown values, so it is too early to place those tools against the rest of the roster from the description alone.
Flight creates the setup
Strix Salvo gives Danny a ranged opener from the air. The official description says its missiles mark targets for future attacks, linking the opening barrage to his follow-up damage. The announcement does not say how long a mark lasts, whether marks stack or which attacks consume them.
Jettison Fuel turns the flight system’s heat into nearby fire damage. That makes the ability both a heat-management tool and a close-range threat. The confirmed text supports that basic interaction, but not a specific rotation: Valve has not detailed the Chimera Mk1’s heat limit, recovery timing or movement penalties.
Close the Deal remains deliberately vague
Danny’s final named ability is Close the Deal, which Valve calls an explosive hands-on demonstration. No mechanical breakdown accompanies the announcement. Players will need the live hero information and match testing to establish whether it works as an area attack, finisher or control tool.
Valve says two hero releases remain and asks players to keep voting ahead of the next arrival on October 16 at 2 p.m. PDT. The post does not identify either remaining hero or explain how vote totals determine the order. Danny’s release is therefore confirmed, while the identity and exact mechanics of the next additions remain open.
